*please see last photos, some small stain have not tried to get out but can try with warm water, laundry soap and vinegar, price reflects this flaw.

They say the iconic Icelandic sweater is like wearing Iceland. It is what the Aran sweater is to the Irish on the Aran Islands. The “lopapeysa” as it is called is tied to Iceland's national identity, to the country’s harsh, rugged nature, the livelihood of fishing and farming and the people’s cultural ties to their sheep. There was also lots of wool in the country, I read that everyone knitted. But it had to made with lopi, two layers of wool, the inner and outer. The patterns were also made unisex.
